Defending the Executor

Decedent designated a friend as the executor of her estate. Her will left the bulk of her estate to two nieces and a nephew. The will was not contested. However, the estate was sued by a third party and disputes arose between the executor and the primary beneficiaries. The estate attorney hired attorney Michael Young to navigate the suit filed against the estate and to assist the executor with potential conflicts with the beneficiaries.

Michael Young defended the claim against the estate, eventually negotiating a favorable settlement that was approved by the executor and by the primary beneficiaries. Attorney Young also resolved disputes with the beneficiaries and their attorneys and negotiated a sizeable fee for the executor that was approved by the Grayson County Court at Law.
